[EVENT] Common Sound 2026

Brisbane, thank you for showing up to support your community at our first ever fundraising concert, Common Sound.

On Friday 22nd May, Common Sound lit up the stage at Lefty’s Music Hall for our first ever fundraising concert to end homelessness, and to help young families with kids, ensuring that they can thrive.

Local talent Sofia Cirino started off the evening with a soulful voice and poetic tones.

Kelly’s Heroes then took centre stage to deliver some absolute classics. From rock, blues and even a little bit of jazz, the band set the venue’s volume to eleven.

The Fried Okras rounded up Common Sound’s line-up, and they made bodies move! With their soulful jazz, blues and everything in between, they were the perfect closing act for a New Orleans-themed venue like Lefty’s Music Hall.

We would like to give a big thank you to the community for turning up. With Common Sound, we wanted to build a community of like-minded people, committed to ending homelessness, and we succeeded.

Every single attendee came knowing that their ticket sales went directly to families and young children who have experienced homelessness.

We would also like to thank Queensland Rugby League, The Brisbane Broncos and Riverlife Brisbane for each donating an amazing raffle prize on the night.

Special thanks also go out to our Corporate Sponsors, who continually support us through their pro-bono work, fundraising and more.
