Important Notice

Brisbane Common Ground no longer accepts direct referrals or applications for Supportive and Affordable Housing.

Brisbane Common Ground is strongly committed to a coordinated, sector-wide approach to ending homelessness and continues to work closely with partner organisations to ensure housing opportunities are allocated fairly, appropriately and effectively.

As part of our commitment to a fair, transparent and coordinated housing allocation process, all tenancies are now allocated through partner organisations based on the eligibility criteria identified for each vacancy.

Housing Intake Process

This updated process supports a coordinated and transparent referral pathway across Brisbane’s housing and homelessness services network and aligns with the Brisbane Zero strategy – a collaborative, sector-wide initiative aimed at ending homelessness.

How the Process works:

  1. When a vacancy becomes available, Brisbane Common Ground notifies the Brisbane Zero team and provides the vacancy details and eligibility criteria.
  2. Brisbane Zero engages with partner organisations through coordination and strategy meetings to identify suitable candidates from the By-Name List.
  3. Once referrals are received, Brisbane Common Ground reviews and assesses all referrals before making the final housing allocation decision.
  4. Applicants and support services can contact Brisbane Common Ground for further information or speak directly with one of the partner organisations listed below.
