General Maintenance Person

We are looking for a dedicated General Maintenance Person to join our dynamic team at Common Ground Queensland, Queensland’s first Supportive Housing Project located in South Brisbane. This is a casual position with flexible hours, starting at 1-2 days per week.

About the Role:

  • Responsibilities: General building repairs and maintenance, assembly of furniture, moving of furniture, rubbish removal, cleaning duties, yard and garden maintenance.
  • Requirements: Self-motivation, positive “can-do” attitude, strong time management, excellent communication skills, professional demeanour, ability to work both unsupervised and within a team, knowledge of WHS practices.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in building maintenance or handy person roles, relevant trade qualifications (not required).
  • Additional: National police clearance check required, drivers licence.
