Barry Lee is Director/Principal Architect at The Dark Horse Studio, a boutique design practice he established in 2022 after a 25 year career in international commercial practice.

Barry Lee is Director/Principal Architect at The Dark Horse Studio, a boutique design practice he established in 2022 after a 25 year career in international commercial practice.

Since graduating from the University of South Australia with a First Class Honours degree in Architecture, Barry has been responsible for the design of internationally acclaimed projects throughout Australia, South East Asia, the Middle East and the Pacific.

The Dark Horse Studio’s practice reflects Barry’s deep commitment to service, design rigour and innovation. The studio is focused on creating beautiful, meaningful and sustainable ‘human habitats’ that enrich lives.

Throughout his career he has volunteered on a number of community, charity and local government boards, and has assisted in the founding of charities and independent schools.

Common Ground Queensland

We provide rental accommodation to people who have experienced chronic homelessness (supportive housing) and to people who require access to affordable housing located in South Brisbane.  Tenants must meet eligibility requirements set out by the Department of Housing.
