Learn More About Joanna Spanjaard

Joanna is currently the Director of Governance and Risk at The University of Queensland. She has over 20 years’ experience.

Joanna is a Director with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and is the national leader of their risk transformation solution. She has over 20 years’ experience in risk management developing, implementing and providing assurance over all aspects of risk management including risk frameworks, risk appetite, risk maturity diagnostics, risk governance, culture and operating models.

Joanna has deep experience in many industry sectors including not for profits, health, public safety, energy, mining and water and regularly facilitates emerging, strategic and operational risk workshops with Boards and senior executives. She is a mechanical engineer and is also a Board Member, Industry Advisory Board, Electrical Engineering, University of Queensland. She is currently the Director of Governance and Risk at The University of Queensland.

Common Ground Queensland

We provide rental accommodation to people who have experienced chronic homelessness (supportive housing) and to people who require access to affordable housing located in South Brisbane.  Tenants must meet eligibility requirements set out by the Department of Housing.
