About Common Ground Gold Coast

Common Ground Gold Coast (CGGC) has been established through the support of Common Ground Queensland (CGQ). CGGC is a subsidiary organisation of CGQ, created with the express aim of establishing a Common Ground supportive housing project on the Gold Coast.

The Common Ground model is a solution to homelessness underpinned by supportive housing principles, bringing housing, support services and the community together.

 

Our initial project will seek to establish 200 units of supportive housing to permanently house and support individuals sleeping rough, or those who experience chronic homelessness as well as people on low incomes. It is hoped that governments at all levels, business and the community, will contribute to delivering this project on the Gold Coast where the need is significant.

What We Do

At Common Ground Queensland we provide property and tenancy management services for a range of supportive and affordable housing programs for individuals and families.

At Brisbane Common Ground (BCG) we provide both supportive housing and affordable housing. In this program we provide supportive housing for individuals who have experienced chronic homeless, and affordable housing for individuals on low incomes.

The Supportive Housing for Families Project (SH4F) offers families access to safe and affordable rental housing that is linked to a specialised family support program.

Our Community Supportive Housing (CSH) program works with support organisations to provide housing for refugee and asylum seekers who require support to sustain their tenancies. The housing used for this service is a mix of scattered site head leased properties and community held properties.

Donate to CGGC

Donations made to Common Ground Gold Coast will go towards progressing the project to the next stage. 

This may include procurement of services such as: 

  • Building and architectural design services
  • Development applications
  • Financial modeling 
  • Funding submissions
  • Grant writing and applications


Common Ground Gold Coast is a registered charity. Charity donations of $2 or more to Common Ground Gold Coast may be tax-deductible in Australia.
